Dear Professor,

Portlandsterdam University is honored to work with you.  Our goal is enrichment, diversity, and creating a central knowledgebase from many differing resources to assist in promoting the Medical Marijuana Industry of Oregon.

We would like to provide you our assistance, facilities, scheduling and labs. It is fully up to you to design the course, materials and structure of your lecture, presentation or class. This gives you full control of content.  This is part of our diversity. If you need assistance with any of the above we stand ready to help.  We can supply presentations, AV, equipment, handouts, etc. Just let us know. We can also provide support for organizing, examples, templates, and research for your class.

As you know Stoney Girl Gardens is presenting this endeavor, however we aim to make this totally community owned and operated. Although we plan to teach our methods of growing, breeding, etc., we also plan on having many other fine growers teach their methods.  Thus there may be many opposing views presented allowing the students to see a wide spectrum of choices and create new solutions . This is how we plan to offer education to the public.

PDXU will have the advantage of bringing together many professionals in the field.  We are hoping that as a result, together we can forge a better future for the Oregon Medical Marijuana Industry.

We are discussing a trade of Professors with Oaksterdam University in hopes of having some of their great minds visit our University from time to time. If you are interested in going to Oakland let us know.

Here is what we need to know on our application to help you:

Is this a Class or Course? (a course consists of two or more classes on the same subject)

What is the title of the course?

How many hours do you think it will be for each class?

How many classes?

How often are you willing to do this course? (once, 5 days per week, etc.)

What is the best time(s) for you to do the course?

How much do you want to charge for each class?

How much do you want to charge for the Course?

NOTE: In some cases we may require references and/or credentials. You will be notified up front if this is the case.

What are your requirements (what do you need to teach)?

Tips:

If you have a lot to teach then try to break it up into several courses instead of just one.

Keep your course short, around an hour in class and an hour more if you have a lab.

Plan your course in detail in advance.

Think reasonable when wanting to charge for classes. Portlandsterdam University only offers affordable classes and you may be asked to negotiate. You cannot use the University exclusively to demo or sell a product unless it has educational value.

When doing your class have examples of the finished item when the process may take hours or days; example: making a cake- show mixing the doe then have one already cooked. This way your students are not waiting an hour to cook the cake in an oven.

What Does PDXU Do?

We have gathered the heavy weights and brought them together in one place. You will be working with the best Oregon has to offer.   PDXU will provide the location, scheduling, lab, equipment, support, advertizing, marketing, personnel, tuitions and much more to get you to teach us your knowledge. Also it is our intent to offer video productions of your classes on-line at a future date.  This is an additional chance to gain revenues and document good information.

Is this only for card holders?

Absolutely not!  Information should be available to any interested person including doctors, lawyers, or persons just interested in finding out about becoming a grower for others.  You will be required to possess a current OMMP card if you want to participate in the labs, but you can view the entire class (including lab) without having a card. Just no touching.
